About Project

Lu Restaurant is a gastronomic space within the Lubich Hotel, located in a restored late 19th-century building in Lviv. Here, the historic atmosphere of the old city is combined with modern aesthetics and thoughtful cuisine, creating a cozy place for quiet and stylish gatherings.

We integrated biodynamic lighting that changes throughout the day, creating the right atmosphere and ensuring maximum comfort for guests. To highlight the textures of the materials and architectural accents, we used delicate accent lighting that gently guides the eye to key interior details.

Especially for this project, we created shadow lamps that project magical shadow patterns onto the ceiling in the evening, adding character and depth to the space.

For the VIP area, we developed a unique caustic lamp that projects smoke and wave effects onto the ceiling, constantly changing the pattern and creating the feeling of living, plastic light matter.

A separate feature of the space is a 7-meter glass light column — a true work of art created by our creative glassblowing workshop. We made the glass elements ourselves, combining different sizes, coatings, and ways of interacting light with glass.

This custom light column became the central accent of the interior — a sophisticated light core that combines classic and contemporary art. Thanks to internal lighting and various scenarios, it changes throughout the day, and its multi-layered texture and thin threads resemble a cascade of light that gently envelops the space.
