About Project
The star of our entire concept is, of course, the octopus or jellyfish chandelier from our glass-blowing brand Optical Metaphor. This is our first experience of combining glass-blowing compositions with media elements. We came up with the idea that it would be beneficial to use elements that we have previously used to illuminate the facade of the Signature residential complex in Kyiv.
These are special contour luminaires that consist of separate sealed modules connected by a wire, but at the same time they look like a continuous light line that bends in two directions, like a spine.
We have developed special glass-blowing elements that refract the light in a cool way, multiplying it in their folds. And we carefully thought out the composition that will work according to the different modes of the club.
The hall is surrounded on both sides by panels based on Raphael's paintings, which are modified for modernity and have many interesting details that are not immediately noticeable. Our idea was to shift the emphasis from one part of the painting to another as the time of day changed. This way, different details are highlighted throughout the day and the visitor's perception of the panel changes - they notice different details at different times.
Another insta-feature is a large panel with a composition of eyes with different expressive looks. This installation is dynamic and controlled by sophisticated programmes, and synchronises with the modes of all the lighting and the chandelier.
And, of course, there is our already standard light with accents on the tables and the manifestation of a lot of details with light. For each time of day, we have developed separate lighting scenarios that we configure and adjust via our own software and the Expolight Cloud Control System.
