The Ukrainian Building Awards 2025 is the main annual award and key event in Ukraine for the development, architecture, and design community.
The award recognized three of our projects with first place.
THREE FIRST PLACES IN THE MAIN DESIGN AWARD OF UKRAINE
POINT OF UNITY is a meditative art installation for the world-famous Burning Man festival, held in the Black Rock Desert, USA. It is a meditative art sculpture, the main idea of which is unity: of heaven and earth, man and nature, ideas and their embodiment.
The installation is based on optical effects and the play of light: it “roots” the sky in the earth, creating the illusion that the sky surrounds a person on all sides — above and below. It has become a symbol of international diplomacy and the voice of Ukraine on the international creative arena this year.
“CROSS OF HEROES” is a memorial art installation, the most responsible and emotionally charged project for me that we had to do in our home country. For me, it is a symbol of the struggle of light against darkness, resilience, and resistance.
We took the Cossack cross as a basis – a symbol of unbreakable spirit, manifested in three directions so that people could enter the cross from any side.
“THE ROAD OF LIFE” is a memorial installation at the site of the destroyed Romanivsky Bridge in Irpin. It symbolizes healing, strength, and the will to live, which prevailed despite the horrors of the first days of the invasion.
It is important for us not only to create aesthetic objects, but also to imbue them with history, memory, symbols, and social impact. That is why I find it particularly valuable that the works that best reflect this approach have won.
Ukrainian design is actively developing, acquiring its own voice and meanings that resonate far beyond the country's borders.
