LIGHT ON THE SIDE OF THE ENVIRONMENT: we took part in the creation of an interactive installation for COP28

We were very pleased to be part of a team in close cooperation with the Dubai Municipality and Nuevo Design, where we worked on the revitalization of the iconic landmark and historical symbol of Dubai - Deira Clocktower. We turned the clock tower into a living sculpture that anyone can interact with!

This installation became an inspiring super feature and the embodiment of the values of this important event, which brought together leaders of countries and important people, such as King Charles III of Great Britain. One of the active activities of the Dubai Municipality during COP28 is the Art for Change initiative. For it, we created our new digital artwork: a seascape depicting a coral reef and marine life based on Big Data, which evolves and comes to life as people create their pledges to take care of the environment.

Using our custom web application, everyone can read about the philosophy of the initiative, confirm their pledge, and create a symbolic visualization of it in the form of one of the three red-listed marine creatures. You can also find information about them in the appendix.

We love working on projects where aesthetics is not just for the sake of aesthetics, but encourages people to be aware and act. That's why there was a complex here: both the key idea and the encouragement of everyone in the created custom mobile application.  We collect data on user activity on the website and on social media, where they make posts with pledges under the hashtag #DubaiMoreSustainable, and the total number of pledges changes the overall appearance of the sculpture.

In addition, for the Dubai Municipality's stand at Expo City Dubai, where the COP28 conference is taking place, we created a digital twin of the Deira Clocktower! We developed the NFT of the clock tower and with the help of our specially developed software, we combined it with the real sculpture, so the digital twin always looks the same as the physical sculpture.

What's more, from anywhere in the world, you can remotely launch your animal onto the clock tower and contribute to a sustainable future. Hurry up and make your pledge here: https://moresustainable.dm.gov.ae/
