About Project

Tatar Bunar is a restaurant with ethnic motifs of Tatar culture that combines the historical past with a sense of home comfort. Now this restaurant is located in the historic center of Odesa, on the site of an old mansion that was built in the 19th century and was a typical Russian symbol of imperialism.

With the light, we create the atmosphere of a cozy Italian courtyard in the middle of a large and modern Odesa. We recreated the play of shadows from plants and biodynamic light scenarios that change smoothly throughout the day.

We paid special attention to interesting details, such as halo-caustics and gobo projections. We created an accent light point that unites people - an imitation of a sunset among the trees, achieved through the halo-caustic effect. We also emphasized one of the key features of this restaurant - the open kitchen, which is the centerpiece of this space. There we focus the lighting on the chef and the cooking process itself.
