A new SAMNA restaurant has recently opened in Marbella. This project was the result of our collaboration with YOD design lab and their architects, Vladimir Nepyvoda and Dmitry Bonesko.

about project
The restaurant has a complex and interesting design: ceramic columns, a funnel-shaped decorative ceiling made of wooden slats, textured walls with a very deep relief made of natural Scandinavian stone, which was transported in huge blocks. Our main task was to highlight all these unique materials, which elegantly accentuate the establishment.
We also implemented biodynamic lighting, which changes throughout the day in accordance with human rhythms: four scenes smoothly transition into one another, creating the appropriate atmosphere at different times of the day.
We emphasized and highlighted all these elements with our custom-made Expolight Instruments luminaires, which we design and manufacture specifically for each project — from concept to production. For this project, we made special brass lamps that are almost invisible but precisely integrated into the architecture, have an extremely narrow beam angle, and allow complex elements to be illuminated without dazzling people. We adjust each lamp manually, combining modes, brightness, and dynamics.
Lighting is controlled via the Expolight Cloud Control cloud system, which allows you to remotely configure lighting scenarios from anywhere, maintaining stable quality and accuracy in operation.
