about project

Birch is a contemporary gastronomic restaurant in Dubai's DIFC offering European-Asian cuisine, minimalist interiors, and a focus on signature tasting menus.

Light shapes the atmosphere of the space, emphasizes the aesthetics of the cooking process, and reveals the textures and textures of the interior. It works as a mood-setting tool, supporting the perception of gastronomy as a holistic experience.

The concept is based on a warm light palette that provides a feeling of comfort and understated elegance. Lighting scenarios are fully controllable and adapt to the time of day and functional needs of the space, allowing the atmosphere of the restaurant to be changed according to events.

Light sources are integrated discreetly, without visually overloading the interior. Light accents and illumination of vertical surfaces create a balanced environment and emphasize the architectural structure of the space.

A key element of the interior is the undulating wooden ceiling, which is perceived as a sculptural form. The lighting is organized in such a way that the light is evenly distributed across its surface, emphasizing its plasticity and rhythm.

The project uses custom-made lighting fixtures manufactured in Ukraine under the Expolight Instruments brand. All lighting systems are connected to a single control network via the Expolight Cloud Control System, which provides centralized control and flexible scenario configuration.
