About project

Alba is a new Asian restaurant in Dubai's famous Opera Plaza.
We use light tools to immerse visitors in the world of Asian culture and natural beauty. We enhance the interior by adding media lighting to enhance the experience and capture the attention of each guest.

Atmospheric light, which creates the feeling of travelling through Asia, enhances the textures and tactility of materials, forming a unique space through uneven accents. With light, we skilfully emphasise interesting interior elements, making them more expressive.
The restaurant's bar is the heart of the whole establishment, resembling the sun, where people gather in the evening to enjoy its breathtaking beauty and cosy atmosphere. We designed the colour scenarios of the lighting to match the image of the Japanese solar cycle: from dawn to dusk, the colour scheme changes smoothly from light yellow to rich hot yellow and red.
On the second floor of the restaurant, visitors find themselves in the atmosphere of a Japanese festival during the cherry blossom season. The main point of this space is the sakura tree, which becomes the central object of attention. We enhance the perception of this piece of nature with media lighting effects to bring out its elegance.
The interior of Alba restaurant is never boring and always transforms throughout the day thanks to the lighting scenarios that we program and automate with our Expolight Cloud Control System. The light changes gently and invisibly, just like in nature, in the morning, afternoon and evening. And coloured media accents add to the variety of moods.
