“The Point of Unity” is a meditative sculpture that connects sky and earth, humanity and nature, the present and the future. It will stand as a symbol of international diplomacy and as the voice of Ukraine on the global creative stage.
At the heart of the installation lies a vast mirror, nearly seven meters in diameter, seemingly floating in the air. We concealed the massive beams and trusses within slender, almost invisible columns so that it appears weightless—like a cloud rather than a heavy structure. This mirror reflects the earth: people, the desert, and the light shifting throughout the day. Inside it lives a moving disk of sky with drifting clouds. Beneath one’s feet lies another mirror made of triplex glass. Standing upon it, a person finds themselves between two worlds—at the very point of their unity: seeing the sky as if reflected in a puddle, embedded in the earth like a diamond. It is a place for meditation and inspiration, where bold, untamed ideas are born and find the strength to become reality.
